must be getting old if i prefer a picnic to a pub, or maybe its just the feeling of depression I get when leaving a pub before closing time

Perhaps because its always been sunny when I’ve been cycling… (funny that - I thought I went out in all weathers)

Pub is more: drink, drink, drink, noise, noise, noise, … and I must admit I find them more intimidating and less inviting; especially if you can’t find a “click” to fit into.
At least, you get invited to a picnic, which is very inviting! Then there’s food, there’s the fresh air, you dont need chairs to sit down! more picnics! less pubs!!!
