The Skedaddle team were busy last weekend for the Giant Mountain Mayhem 2008 (for those who don’t know Mayhem is an immensely popular 24 hour mountain bike race), with a number of our guides entering the event and with Rod , Nick , Tony , Adam and Steve providing invaluable encouragement , food and bike repair.
Congratualtions to Wendy Smit , Iwona Schmidt , Denise Lee and Annie Marson who between them completed 18 laps of the 8.5 mile course and brought home a win in the open women’s category!

” I’d like to say a huge thank you to Steve and his team for doing such a fantastic job of looking after us for the weekend. I can honestly say that we didn’t want for anything and they were happy to help whatever the request so please pass on our thanks to everyone from Skedaddle .”

Please pass on my personal HUGE thanks to all the support team. I can only echo the words already said. Brilliant!
To get in from a cold, wet lap unable to think straight it was utterly fantastic when my bike, now doubled in weight from mud, was taken, cleaned, lubed and placed ready for another chunk of grimey action.
Not only that but pasta was provided by the ton to continue the carbo loading. Being treated as a Pro.. priceless. I wore the skedaddle shirt with pride.

Just like to add to all the comments so far and say many, many thanks to all the Skedaddle staff for the endless support throughout the weekend, including vast supplies of the infamous Rocky Bars.
I felt proud to wear the Skedaddle logo and it was an honour to be part of the Skedaddle family for the weekend. It was great to meet the other team members - you were all stars. If any of you are ever in the Bucks/Berks/Oxfordshire area let me know (Skedaddle have my contact details) and I’ll show you a good time in the Chilterns.
I’ll be spending the next 11 months chipping the mud off the bike ready for the next Mayhem !
Hope to see you all again sometime.

I would like to thank the guys that worked at the Mountain Mayhem the other weekend. You were fantastic, not only did you give the riders the support and assistance that they needed you offered a friendly face and a fantastic atmosphere for them and for my self as a supporter/tea maker!! You made the experience that bit more bearable, so we thank you.

Straws - The weather, course and our performance could have all done with much improvement – the support we got from your team couldn’t! Steve led a great team of guys who were brilliant! A big thank you to all of them we could not have managed without them.
Congratulations again to the Girlies what a great performance – at least one team brought grace to the proceedings and the Skedaddle name.
Cheers Graeme C.

Just to say, absolutely brilliant to see Steve and Nick at Mayhem. What a team to be looked after by!
Their outstanding skills at putting their riders first stood out, again…
Just as I remembered when on Skedaddle weekend trips with them, nothing is too much trouble. What a team.
